Saved to Serve International
One of the rights promised citizens in the first amendment to the United States Constitution is freedom of the press. It reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Though preserved in history and highly esteemed among politicians, rhetorically that is, the principles contained in the constitution are one-by-one being disregarded and utterly repudiated by the country that once held them dear. How could this be, one may ask, considering the history of how the constitution came about and the form of government from the Old World that the founders were rejecting and determining not to have set up in the New World?
The answer is simply, that the influence and despotism of the Old World, Rome in particular, has not fully diminished, and, under the right circumstances, will return just as strong as before and the oppression will be rekindled. That Rome and Roman Catholicism has regained its influence in the United States cannot be argued and is evidenced by the wide reception of Pope Francis and his messages on climate change, minimizing poverty, eradicating fundamentalism, the “common good,” etc. and the most striking confirmation is the unprecedented occurrence of Pope Francis, a Jesuit, being invited and allowed to address a joint session of congress. This never could have taken place even a century ago. But a change has come; not a change in the Papacy however as she claims infallibility and that she has not and cannot err according to scripture.
Roman Catholicism has ever had a disdain for the constitution and all the freedoms and rights that it guarantees: “‘The Constitution of the United States guarantees liberty of conscience. Nothing is dearer or more fundamental. Pope Pius IX, in his Encyclical Letter of August 15, 1854, said: `The absurd and erroneous doctrines or ravings in defense of liberty of conscience are a most pestilential error–a pest, of all others, most to be dreaded in a state.’ The same pope, in his Encyclical Letter of December 8, 1864, anathematized `those who assert the liberty of conscience and of religious worship,’ also ‘all such as maintain that the church may not employ force.'”1
Pope Francis, who to many embodies peace, tolerance and progressivism, has not been ambiguous in his condemnation of and disdain for freedom of speech and freedom of the press; that is one of the reasons that he has made it a point of duty to meet and collaborate with the CEOs of the major social media platforms, to control and censor the output of information while disseminating his messages. Most recently he made the eyebrow-raising statement that “journalism based on rumors and fear is terrorism.” To gain the full context, lest a detractor claim unfair or irresponsible journalism, here is some more of the statement which was addressed to an audience of nearly 400 journalists from the Italian National Council of the Order of Journalists: “Pope Francis on Thursday warned that journalism, when based on rumors, can be a form of terrorism, meaning a ‘weapon of destruction’ of both people and nations…’I have often spoken of rumors as ‘terrorism,’ of how you can kill a person with the tongue,’ Francis said. ‘If this is valid for an individual person, in the family or at work, so much more it’s valid for journalists, because their voice can reach everyone, and this is a very powerful weapon,’ he said…He spoke about the danger of journalists becoming terrorists by publishing rumors or spreading fear.”2
These may sound like respectable sentiments on the surface; however a closer look reveals the contempt that Pope Francis has for freedom of speech and freedom of the press, even linking it to terrorism when used in ways that he deems inappropriate and irresponsible. It must not be forgotten that this is the same man who stated in 2015 that freedom of speech has limits. “Speaking about the Paris terror attacks, Pope Francis said on Thursday that there are limits to freedom of expression, especially when it insults or ridicules someone’s faith.”3
The reality is that the very sentiments held and expressed by Pope Francis are shared by policymakers of the United States, not even considering the reality that Jesuits have infiltrated every level of government in order to advance the agenda of the Papacy as they are instrumental in shaping the policies of nations. The end-goal of the Papacy is to regain world supremacy, control men’s consciences and eliminate Protestantism, those who reject her supremacy and dogmas. Since freedom of speech and freedom of the press are already being challenged and denied, we can expect that the beginning part of the first amendment will also be disregarded and congress will begin making laws respecting an establishment of religion while prohibiting the free exercise thereof. This will become a reality when the National Sunday Law is imposed, and events show us that this time is not far distant.
The implications for the faithful Seventh-day Adventists, Bible-believing Christian, who are preaching the present truth, the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14, is that they will be looked upon as terrorists inciting fear and violence, in the attempt to silence their message and keep thousands in bondage to error and sin. The presentation of the distinctive messages of the three angels which expose Satan and his agencies of evil, the Papacy along with apostate Protestant America who forms an image to the Roman hierarchy, and their restriction of civil and religious freedom and the persecution of those who do not comply with their agenda and their corresponding exaltation of the laws of God above the laws of man, will be deemed a hate speech and any evangelistic effort by this group will be considered terrorist recruitment. But try as they might, the message will be carried forth with great power and might and will lighten the entire earth and will resultantly call men out of Babylon!
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” Revelation 18:1-4.
