Snowmaggedon 2016 is now over, but while the snow storm that had crippled much of the east coast, New York City became the epicenter of the storm and for about 17 hours was in a state of martial law. The governor of New York State, Andrew Cuomo, in league with the New York City Mayor, Bill deBlasio, issued a travel ban at 2:30 PM Saturday, which was eventually lifted at 7 AM on Sunday.
But there is one thing that really should keep you on alert abouNew Yort Snowstorm Jonas: only in New York State, which only had 26.8 inches, as opposed to 42 inches in Glengary, W.Va. had taken the additional steps of having a travel ban, as opposed to having a state of emergency.
